BIMM Focus

We learn from those who have more experience than us, through practice, making mistakes and also from the occasional happy accident. Irrespective how we do it, learning is integral to our journey.

So we’d like to draw attention to the work of those establishments and individuals who've made it their mission to share audio knowledge.

The first of which is BIMM – the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. With graduates including George Ezra, James Bay, Tom Odell and plenty more future stars coming up through the ranks, it’s a source of huge pride that we can support BIMM’s great work – by having recently provided over 150 bundles through our educational discount programme.

Chris Huant at BIMM

Christian Huant, Music Production Course Leader, a keen advocate of all things Sonnox, says ‘I’m always looking to deploy the best tools available for the students to learn their craft. Sonnox plug-ins are right up there in my mind, and the deal offered to ALPs is simply unbeatable, which makes it an easy sell to the finance and management teams! We recently deployed the Sonnox Elite bundle across the whole of BIMM London (and to all faculty staff, which was much appreciated), ready for the new academic year. Some tutors were unfamiliar with the plug-ins but have responded really well to them over the summer and will definitely use some in their classes. Particularly, there was a call last year for better Mastering plug-ins to deliver that particular part of a module, and the Sonnox bundle has nicely plugged that gap.’
